Rick is a licensed acupuncturist and practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine with over two decades of clinical experience across four continents. He earned a Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2001 and completed internships at Western rehabilitation facilities as well as at the Japan- China Friendship Hospital in Beijing and Chengdu Teaching Hospital in Chengdu, gaining a rare dual perspective on integrative and traditional medicine.

Over the course of his career, Rick has practiced in clinics throughout Thailand, New Zealand, China, New York, Florida, and Alaska — including a role as the sole acupuncturist at Arctic Chiropractic, one of Alaska’s most respected chiropractic clinics. He also helped launch an acupuncture program aboard cruise ships, bringing TCM to patients at sea. In addition to acupuncture, Rick has nearly 15 years of experience in functional nutrition, and has shared his expertise through published articles, teaching, and public lectures.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been a sensitive person. Always asking questions, I’ve yearned to “get to the bottom” of all of life’s mysteries. Every personal trial and tribulation gave me more questions and more answers, and then more questions. I participated in a few massage therapy and energy healing classes after high school, and that showed me for the first time what my purpose in life really is: to be a part of profound healing. There, she spent a lot of time studying different layers of channel theory, resulting in a rich understanding of what energetic patterning looks like through an acupuncture lens. Post graduation, the majority of her time has been spent buried in functional medicine, functional neurology, scalp acupuncture for neurological conditions, and craniosacral therapy.
